When United Rentals decided to invest in a new 3.5 million dollar Equipment Rental and Maintenance Shop Building in Fairbanks, they selected GBC, Inc. as the General Contractor. Our local building experience ensured success on this project, which had stringent, demanding standards.
This 15,500 square foot facility, which is in progress, contains a wash bay, de mucking pit for cleaning of large equipment, four drive through maintenance bays, and a 5,000 square foot showroom for the rental equipment.
The building is a combination of an insulated metal panel steel structure with a metal stud mansard roof framed around the customer area for accent. It is a welcome addition to the corner of Lathrop Street and Van Horn Road in South Fairbanks.
