GBC, Inc. was proud to be the first building subcontractor onsite for Criterion General Contractors on its new Alaska USA Federal Credit Union Financial Center project in Fairbanks. Our work on this project consisted of the forming and placement of the exterior concrete footings and foundation walls, the interior spread footings, elevator foundations, and the exterior radius footings and retaining walls.
The four story design build by the general contractor required the construction of these beefy building foundation forms to be placed with zero error tolerance and to be built with zero chance of blow out during concrete placement. These requirement are a company standard for GBC, Inc.
GBC’s expertise in concrete forms once again paid off during construction of the sidewalk retaining walls and the flag pole retaining walls which were formed in several radius shapes from 5’ to 34’ with blocked out space for decretive rock embedment.
