GBC, Inc. has been a general contractor in the State of Alaska for 20 years and has constructed various projects throughout the state. More specifically, GBC has built all types of buildings through all types of weather conditions in the Interior. The Fairbanks summers have long days, but they are also numbered days. Our experience in preplanning, procurement, and project management pays off to make those numbered summer days count.
As a general contractor, GBC has completed large scale wood framed construction such as the Fairbanks Public Health Center on the corner of Barnette Street and Airport Way in Fairbanks, and the addition to the Fairbanks Native Association Regional Center for Alcohol and Other Addictions located on South Cushman Street.
GBC has also preformed many design build projects such as a pre-engineered metal building for the Haz Mat Facility at Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks, and the Sub Arctic AG Building for the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.
As a specialty contractor GBC has completed numerous concrete projects in Alaska from concrete slabs poured in Prudoe Bay and concrete foundations at a power plant in North Pole at subzero temperatures, to large concrete forms at the Bradley Lake Hydroelectric Project in Homer.
